Since its founding, Memry and its acquired entity, Raychem Corporation’s Shape Memory Alloy Division, have been pioneers in the development of proprietary compositions of the alloys, processes to enable their manufacture, and means and methods to fabricate shape memory materials into reliable, useful, economic components and products with high user value.

Since the formation of the Office of Technology in 2000, whose role it is to provide guidance and leadership to the Company’s stepped-up efforts to develop important new compositions of matter, means and methods to fabricate and form shape memory materials, and importantly, prepare the final component products for long term in-body uses, Memry has accelerated its filings of trade secrets and international patent applications pertaining to the use of shape memory materials.

When one works with Memry, our design and process engineering teams bring an extensive and comprehensive knowledge of the materials and their particular applications to the product development effort, in many instances with proprietary skills and methods, all for the singular purpose of helping our client develop, manufacture and market the best possible products for their intended use. At no time does Memry take ownership in design patents in the medical field arising from our confidential work with our customers, a principle we steadfastly adhere to.
